'10 Binghamton (possible transfer) F Greer Wright
Want to get his name out there. Cincinnati has interest in this kid. He will have a year of eligibilty but would be able to play right away and would be a good pick up. He is a 6'7" forward that averaged 15.1 pts, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assist a game. He shot .437 from the field, .308 from three, and .752 from the ft line. He has a confirmed visit to UConn a month ago, and made an unofficial to USF. He could also remain with the Binghamtom Bearcats. Will post more as confirmed info comes in. His Coach was released and the interim coach was hired to a 2 year extension.
Junior Greer Wright, the Bearcats' top player and one of five players -- along with Dylan Talley, Kyrie Sutton, Pina Guillaume, and Kraidon Woods -- who have sought NCAA waivers to be able to transfer without having to sit out a year, reiterated his desire to have Broadus back but said retaining Macon was a good thing. "I'm still waiting to what happens here, especially with Broadus," said Wright, who in the last month has made an official visit with Connecticut and an unofficial visit with South Florida, both Big East programs. "Having Coach Macon is a great plus -- he helped us a lot last season, and he'll have something to do with me coming back." http://www.pressconnects.com/article...sketball+coach Last edited by bearcat jeff; 05-13-2010 at 06:52 PM. |

FWIW I'm not a huge fan of letting a scholarship go unused. I understand not tying one up for 4 years to a player we don't think is good enough, but 2 years is different and only one wasted year if he doesn't pan out. As many open scholly's that we'll have in 2011 anyways, there's no guarantee we'll find five worthy players if we couldn't find one more this year.

UC needs a scoring small forward who can drive to the basket. Be nice to find one.

Those identical avatars make it look like Jeff's talking to, and agreeing with himself.

It sounds like there is a pretty good chance he will end up here...
