UConn
Let's move on to the UConn game. I expect the usual war between these two teams that typically takes place. I think it will be a defensive battle and low scoring. The guards have to play tough and not get pushed out on the floor. Inside the bigs have be strong and not let Brimah intimidate them. He's going to block some shots but the Bearcats can't let that stop them from being aggressive. If they turn the ball over like they have in some games they lose.

The battle between Ellis and Brimah is going to be interesting. Two guys who play with high emotion. Let's just say I'm praying for a zero technical foul game.

I think UC can stop Boatright pretty easily. I am concerned about the 5 star kid Hamilton on the wing and going against a legit high major front court. Ellis, DeBerry and Clark have to win their matchups for UC to win.

I predict we will be +5.
I also predict we will win 57-53. Brimah and Hamilton are the players I'd do everything I could to stop. |

Good points by everyone so far. To add, I am worried about how we score this game. I think it will be a struggle (I usually always feel this way) but more so being @ Uconn. Especially since Ollie has been the coach, UConn has always had a great game plan to keep us from scoring.
I hope our players don't get away from playing inside/out. That is a must. We gotta get to the foul line and be agressive. I have a feeling Uconn will be packing it in and forcing us to shoot long jumpers. This will be a good measuring stick to see how our development is coming along. Big time game and it would be awesome to steal one on the road against a AAC contender. I think we fall short here but I would love to be wrong! Obviously I want us to win but I want to see improvement. |

Ellis and Clark should be able to handle Brimah together. A now healthy Boat right is always scary. Everything tells me we should win this game, but winning at UCONN is no small task no matter their record.

Purvis is the one who makes me a bit nervous. He is athletic and very streaky. If he is off chances are he stays off but if he gets going it'll be bad. IMO he darn near singlehandedly brought UConn back against Florida, hitting three 3's in a row.

I hate the 11 am start on the road. I would love a win, but we are probably due for a rough shooting game at some point. Uconn has pretty solid D as usual, could get ugly (not on the scoreboard, just the type of game that is played).

I was thinking that too but it is nice that our game against SMU was 11 am. So we really can't use that as an excuse. It might work as an advantage because maybe UConn won't be ready for it. It certainly took UC an entire half to wake up against SMU, including our fan base.
