I always worry about big guys who don't have much in the foot work department. In HS they can dominate because of their size. In college, the size advantage (and strength advantage) is minimized. While this kid is going to be the biggest kid on the floor every night, he isn't going to be playing against 6'4" skinny post guys in a conference like the Big East. I also don't know how he would fit in the uptempo style Mick is recruiting for.
One cannot argue with Mick's eye for talent so if he and the staff are sold on him, that's good enough for me. |

2012 prospect Sim Bhullar will be in attendance today according to Bearcat Lair's Chad Brendel. He's 7'4" #Sim...notChad |

According to one of BCN's poster who talked to him in the restroom, he enjoyed his visit for what it's worth. And yes, I chastised the poster for talking to him.

I hate "projects".... but i think hes head and shoulders above where biggie was in high school. Give the man a diet and some serious lifting and he could be solid big guy in the middle.

He needs to quicken his footwork and running. Probably needs to become more lean (bodyfat) and lift weights. You can't teach height. He's only 16? Ibrahima Thomas didn't take up b-ball until late, at 6'-11" (supposedly). This kid has a good start. I'd take a chance on him. I think fitness and footwork are the key. He has the God-given size. |

The spring is going to be interesting for Sim. I want to see what kind of exposure he receives and what, if any other schools get involved. The Bearcats are said to be in his top three, along with crosstown rival Xavier.

Its pretty much assured he will end up at Xavier. Which I'm perfectly fine with. I know he plays on a good team, but he averages something like 6 points in high school and doesn't move well at all. He doesn't fit in with the system we like to run.
Also, I'm pretty sure he will end up at Xavier next year. |
