We lose.
Nice summary.

So it sounds like Mick learned nothing from the OSU game with sitting Cumberland. The fact that Broome and Johnson only played 5min is ridiculous. It doesn't matter if they aren't playing amazing. Obviously Justin wasn't either. You have to play your backups more then that.

Can anyone explain the last play. We inbounded the ball under the basket and failed to get a shot up in 6 seconds. Why did Cumberland, apparently the guy we wanted to handle the ball inbound it? Why did Jennifer dribble the ball at the three point line and why did Cumberland then drive the lane where he would get blocked and the refs obviously would not call a foul with under 2 seconds left so that it ends up in Brooks hands apparently without time to even put it on the the glass? Since we apparently had a height advantage shouldn’t we have had a play to get it to Brooks? It seems like all we did was say let Cumberland do whatever he decides with the ball and he blew it.

Do you really have confidence in stone hands brooks or scott to make a shot, or even a layup in the last six seconds? I mean 6'11 brooks missed a wide open dunk earlier in the game. Hard to question cronin putting the ball in cumberlands hands.

Yeah this makes zero sense. It obvious that Cumberland should have the ball in his hands. If not him, maybe keith Williams. But Cumberland having the ball is the best case scenario for the Bearcats.

I figured they would have games like this, this year. Maybe not losing to ECU but a couple bad losses. They simply have too many guys that can’t score consistently. That combined with turnovers and the other teams making everything, and that’s what u get. they do get decent looks most of time but miss.
Also Broome has been bad this year. Every time he gets on the court, it seems like the game starts slipping away

Agreed. Cronin would have got slammed if the play was Brooks and he missed the shot/got it stripped. You have to go with Cumberland and hope be makes something happen. Unfortunately he shoots the ball to low to really just rise up and shoot over people in the middle of the lane like Evan's could have driving.

Evans shot 36% on 2 point shots not at the rim last year. he wasn't effective at it either.

in that exact spot im probably taking cumberland over evans as the refs aren't likely to blow the whistle and cumberland is more likely to fight through the contact. either way its a difficult position to be in and likely wont get converted over 35-40% of the time (if its that high).
