2012 California center Norvel Pelle - a former St. John's signee - tweets that he is currently visiting DePaul.

No idea if we will try to get involved but it appears Norvel Pelle is on the market. He was a St. John's commit last year. Top 25 player but was ineligible last year. He's from California. I don't know if he has any connections to DePaul but you'd have to think if he's considering DePaul he would certainly be interested in UC if Mick pursues him. Ton of PT available here.

Might be one to keep an eye on but who knows...

Wasn't aware but from a quick search it looks like people were speculating that's where he would end up, but it never happened. Zagoria did a story on him on April 30th saying he was wide open. Some nuggets from the article:

Rasheed listed Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Rhode Island, DePaul, UTEP, Louisville, New Mexico, San Diego State, Nevada, Florida and Fresno.

One Division 1 head coach in the know said Pelle still had work to do in order to qualify. “I don’t think it’s impossible,” the coach said. “He’s got a lot of work to do. It’s a long shot.” The coach added: “The kid is ridiculously talented. He’s an NBA player, two years max.”

As for what’s up next, Rasheed said, “He wants to visit Rhode Island, DePaul, New Mexico, all five [visits].”
