Didnt say we were the best before and they took Louisville over us in a neck n neck race because they were having a lot of success in football at the time.

I eagerly await the “list” every year to make sure we are still on top of the g5. It was a big morale boost when Louisville was deemed a better school to add to the acc. But hey, at least we are top of the list!

So were we. If you read up on it, it was really between UConn and Louisville, we were a distant third. Bc kept UConn out

Since then we've overhauled both Nippert and 5/3rd. Nippert got an 86 million dollar upgrade and was expanded to 40,000 capacity. 5/3rd got a 100 million dollar renovation. And of course, we've also added the practice bubble in the year since as well. (Currently planning an indoor facility right now too) So facilities hurt us bit at that time, but not so much now. The other big reason we got left standing in a game of musical chairs probably has a lot to do with Whit Babcock and the BOT. While other schools we're ahead of the game, we were late. While they were working up presentations and strategies we were clinging to the Big East, thinking it wasn't going to implode. We were reactive and not proactive, and by that time it was too little too late. UC is by far the most attractice G5 right now, and have been for a decade. There's a TON of reasons we make perfect sense for a P5 to add, and the only thing that may be preventing right now is existing television deals. This guy blowing you shit over is is out of his mind. You're 100% right. I really don't how anyone could argue that UC has no chance to join a P5.
