But yep it's time tommy needs to go, should never have been hired in the first place. Heard recently that when butch left a lot of the players got together and formed a petition to hire kerry combs. The man wants the job and would be perfect
Lets have two home town boys!

Coombs wanted the job I think he's beyond that point now though. But nice to think about him as HC, Ramsey from Elder as OC and Specht from St. X as DC. By the way that wasn't just a fantasy either it was well known around the area that Specht and Ramsey were ready to make the jump. Think about the local and statewide recruiting that could have occurred.

Do you honestly think those guys would coach under Coombs?

Yes they have a huge amount of respect for him (a ton more than they do Bolden). Granted Spechts guys were run off Colerain's campus a bunch of times trying to recruit but it was already agreed upon. Coombs sincerely thought he was going to be offered the job and would have accepted immediately. Coach Haynes at Lakota East (OC at colerain for years) would have been associate coach and QB coach as well.

Yeah would love to see it but it's beyond happening now at least with Coombs at the helm. He's extremely happy at OSU and making a very pretty penny for what he does. When he came back for 10th anniversary of state championship team he told everybody OSU is his last stop. Also think it hurt him a little not to be even considered for the job here.

Coombs would be a horrible hire. Probably worse than Tuberville.

Kerry still has great relationships with elder and st x coaches. Kombs and Specht similar I'm a lot of ways, I get what your saying he said at your banquet but I've heard in the past combs say uc would be his dream job and I know he's happy at osu and told y'all it's his last stop but I have a hard time imagining him turning down the head coaching job, with an oppertunity to raid the gcl for cordinators and rejuvenate this program.

Also you mentioned they respect him way more than bolden maybe so because combs is accomplished at the college level but they respect bolden. Hell Specht and bolden are like best friends.

I disagree. Combs players absolutely loved him at uc and now do at osu. Uc players made and signed a petition petition to hire him after butch and the former players Ive talked to think he'd come back in a heart beat. you can not deny he would have his players fired up and ready to go every snap of every game and would keep the local talent
