Bearcat_NTS will become famous soon enough
Just read that Chris Perry (who we thought was coming to UC) has had back to back double-doubles. Just great...

Vintage UC offense. Just terrible, they can't finish anything, they have no touch and no movement. This game was about what I expected so I'm not that pissed. Disappointing for sure but not surprising. I'm really tired of SK talking a big game but never able to back it up. If people think he is going to the NBA they are smoking something good.

I'm going to wait two more games before I make my assessment of the team. One game can be an anomaly, two would be a trend, and three would be a problem.

We can probably manage against teams with 1 good big man. Their coach called a good game.

We need ST to step up big time. We need TR to stay agressive going to the bucket for many reasons. One is points, two is fouls, and three is because he is a good passer and can dish if it's not there. IMO it's time for TC to start and get 25+.

Gotta love what we saw from Troy Caupain. IMO he was very impressive and I can't wait to watch him develop. Regardless of this game I still think we have a good chance of winning the next 2 games. Let's beat eggsavier!!

I don't understand people dying to get JD3 on the floor. I'm not saying he couldn't help a little but he really wouldn't be a massive upgrade from anyone we have now.

And i've already accepted Strickland will be redshirted this year. Its getting towards mid-December and he hasn't even practiced yet. Again, even if eligible, he won't be up with the team for some time.

Thomas has to fix his shot and become more aggressive. He is still young enough to do that, but his offense is like Rubles at this point without the rebounding ability (do a couple crossovers and pass).

Troy was incredible. SK was dreadful first half, then put it together a little in the second. Lawrence showed some flashes, and will continue to improve.

The team really showed how thin our front line is,; they would be tossed around in the old big east. This was a great experience moving forward, especially for the young guys.

Anyone catch Cronins comment postgame? Hoard said next game was against Xavier in one of the best rivalries in college basketball. Cronin said "I don't know about that the way attendance is looking." Its really hard

...to blame him at this point. He's done a good job of not criticizing attendance thus far but it has to be frustrating. I'm not sure how many tickets have been sold, but the fact that we (and Xavier for that matter) can't sell 8k a piece for the Crosstown Shootout is pretty bad.

He talked about the lack of ticket sales for the shootout after the Upstate game too. It is really pathetic that game isn't even close to selling out.

I think some are over reacting to this game. We went to New mexico ( at 5,000 ft elevation and the hardest gym to play in) in our first road game, not to mention against a good team. We went down early by 15 and fought back and made a game of it. Yes it was ugly at times, but its not easy playing there. I'd say most teams would loose there. This team can still make a deep run and have a great season. We played bad and missed lots of shots and still only lost by 9. And UCalum08 to criticize SK like that is just ignorant, he missed some shots that happens he played good defense and carried the team as much as possible, and to say he never backs up his talk what about the xu game last year were he dropped 26 and took over the second half. Or the Marquette game where he had 36 and the game winner, or the Uconn game where he hit the game winning three. He is a great player one of the best in country. UC is a still a very good team, that loss doesn't affect me at all, it helped us a lot and now we can go blowout xavier again

That will be the perfect medicine. I sure feel a lot better about my team losing by 9 at New Mexico than if the beat Bowling Green in overtime at home.

I don't get the SK reference. What exactly has he been saying that's falling so short with 20 pts a game, 2 steals, 4 rebounds, 3 assists? His assist to TO ratio is about 2.5:1. When you add in his steals it's over 3.5:1

I mean this guy comes to play every single game with heart. He doesn't whine about foul calls like several of our players do on just about every call. He's the only guy right now that can put this team on his shoulders and take over. He's been a good leader. He can't control the play of everyone else on the court...and thus the outcome of the game.
