Since we were in his top 8, won't we at least wait to see if he wants t o visit before taking Jenifer?

You better believe if Jenifer wants to play here, he will be here. Especially committing this early. Mick wants passionate guys that want to be Bearcats. We are not too good for him. I get that there's plenty of other guys that are sparking interest, but who says we couldn't land them as well?

Unfortunately this is more than likely true. The cats need a PG to groom for the future and they are going to get it in this class. While I have my reservations about Jenifer he still has a lot of skills to work with. Im guessing if he wants to be a bearcat after his visit the staff will be more than happy to accept.

Keep in mind any "commit" right now would be a verbal as you can't sign LOI's yet for 2015.

"Evans will participate in the NBA Top 100 camp next week, and he will attended the Deron Williams Point Guard camp the following week. Illini fans hope that Evans follows in the footsteps of Williams, who came from Texas to be an elite point guard in the orange and blue."
